Update : 18:09 UTC : Apparently there's much more to this flight than meets the eye !

@ 10:42 UTC : RFF205 flew to Damascus from Moscow.
It took off from Damascus returning to Moscow as RFF206 and as it approached the Turkish coast it plunged 20,000 feet to below 4,000, disappearing off the map. It then reappeared and landed at Latakia.
The tracker's script mistakenly connected the original CKL-DAM flight's tracks to the 'newly' appeared IL62 making it look like it flew in from Moscow to Latakia.

@ 17:57 UTC : It actually left Latakia when I noticed a Live UA Map message regarding this event and set about puzzling it together.

I very much doubt we'll ever find out what the story is here but it definitely is a "very odd maneuver".
