CommentI've seen this Beech a number of times and had very little to say about it. At first blush the call sign of this Huron might make you giggle or blush, tbh it's what got me when I saw it the first time but today when I saw it taking off from the Sinai desert I obviously wondered : What's the story here ? How can an aircraft take off there and why would an Air Force Huron or any aircraft for that matter land in the Sinai ? Using satellite maps I found an airport that's no longer used for scheduled flights at the Southern trip of the Gaza strip called El Gora. This airport is now used by the Multinational Force and Observers an international peacekeeping force established as a result of the Camp David Accords and now the call sign makes perfect sense. Got to love it when things suddenly make sense after a bit of judicious clicking around.
