OURAN out on it's almost daily mission East of Crete to check on Turkish shipping. Actually most of the ships involved in the illegal activities : Oruc Reis, Yavuz and their escorts have returned to port. Only Barbaros Hayreddin is still out there West of Cyprus where Yavuz was drilling several months ago. The object of the exercise is to demonstrate Turkey is "de-escalating" in advance of the EU meeting to decide among other things on sanctions against Turkey. With the 3 A300s illegally flying military gear into Libya under US noses and the other shenanigans they've been up to in the past days, weeks and months it's doubtful that'll make any impression.Operations
